Architectural Styles
Our initial home designs are organized into a series of three distinctive styles. Within each series, there are three uniquely different floor plans, ranging from 2,500 square feet up to just over 4,300 square feet, depending on your living needs.
In keeping with the rustic elegant inspired architectural directions for the community, our homes have been designed with very clean, simple layouts that allow for efficient framing and open flowing interior spaces. Plans have been carefully designed to retain an overall shallow depth in order to minimize the elevation change associated with hillside properties.
Open air porte-cocheres allow for close covered vehicular access when needed and ensure the appearance of the homes retain a cottage or cabin scale. Simple floor plans yield clean roof lines that add to the relaxed quality of the home.
Our Oak Series captures the spirit of the great outdoors. Inspired by the great lodges of the 1920’s, the Oak style is pure rugged outdoor sportsman character. Low pitched roof lines combine with broad cross gables and cantilevered roof lines to echo the majestic mountain range silhouettes.
Thick random edge oversized pine siding stained in a variety of weathered natural transparent stains forms the heart of these handsome retreats. Rugged stone foundations and accents add to the overall hearty lodge quality of these homes quality and meets your expectations.
Our Cedar Series is inspired by the classic shingle cabins of the mountain lake regions. Thick over sized hand split cedar shake combined with low pitched broad overhanging hipped roof lines and open tailed rafter ends give these homes a permanent sheltering quality and a sense of a craftsman’s touch that is uniquely styled to blend comfort with relaxed elegance.
Heavy oversized warm gray granite foundation walls and chimneys and hand hewn timbered beams add to the sheltering rustic quality of these classic homes.
Our Laurel series recalls the best of the southeast cottage vernacular built by settlers drawn to the cool crisp air hundreds of years ago.
Heavy wide planked board and baton siding forms the base component of this style, which also uses a large amount of heavy stone, timbered columns and beams. Hipped roofs mix with broad low gables and diamond grid upper sash and open lower sash windows recall the best of this mountain vernacular.
